To avoid some of the rain, we travelled by boat to Murano and spent a couple hours watching them make glass (see the furnace) and taking the obligatory tour through the shop
We arrived in Venice on Oct 24, 2011 and departed on the evening of Oct 27th. We endured a light rain for all but the last day, however, on the positive side, there were far fewer tourists than in the summer. We stayed on San Marcos and visited St Mark's Square on the first day (above).
